Anyone remember that Bale chap?

Real fans want rid of Bale big time!
Sounds like it's time for a little bid...

Little being the operative word.

That’s a 1/2 record for him, the only others who have anything like that for Madrid have played at CF.

They don't really value athleticism so much in Spain, preferring step-overs & flicks etc.

I played 5-aside in Malaga and sometimes the Spanish guys would genuinely complain if you scored when they thought it was better to pass.

Can imagine Bale is a bit too direct for their tastes. (Hopefully he appears old/injured enough to make it back to Spurs one day...)

He's getting more affordable by the day.

As long as we're not leaning on him to be a starter - in the fine Lamela tradition - he could still be a very useful and well-received addition. But we can't even begin to be thinking about buying him for Sissoko-type money. (HAH!)

If OI'm Danny Boy Lee-vee, OI'm finkin' £20 mill max. No add-ons, neiver.

Me? OI'd be stretched out on the big Spurs exec couch, puffing a bit of BC Bud, maybe playing something appropriate on the music system and pondering hard on Bale:

"Is there anything good inside of you? If there is, I really want to know":

still hasn't learned the lingo yet by all accounts, thats odd after that long, he never embodied tottenham for me, would take him at a discount but wouldn't hold my breath either way.

I was surprised to read this via Marcelo’s quotes. He’s been there a while now so assumed living in Madrid was part of his reasons for staying on even when the crowd / manager didn’t fancy him. It must make training a lonely affair, one of our strengths is it appears that the players genuinely get on with each and enjoy the social side of training too.

He’s always seemed a little shy so I can understand why he’d want to keep doing interviews in English but it’s not like he couldn’t employ someone to teach him it he doesn’t have the spare time to learn.

I don’t see a scenario where he plays for us again, my suspicion is he will go the highest bidder.
