I feel like Emery is going to be the fall guy for moving on Ozil and Ramsey and then get sacked before a more glamorous coach comes along and gets 100m to spend. Goons have too many big earners and egos to be drilled and disciplined for long but not enough quality to have the trophy winning / CL income boom cycle cheski usually get.
As much as I’ve never been a fan, AVB was given a remit like that at Chelski but Roman bottled it as soon as CL qualification was threatened and the players have ran the club since.

I was reminded of this by someone else on this topic! I think it’s about 70m but oddly as it was spent on a few no names it doesn’t feel like a lot. I guess I always thought they had big reserves that Wenger was sitting on that his successor would get to combat the culture shock of doing defensive drills.
It’s so refreshing that top 4 is no longer the minimum award for big teams turning up, all those years the sky four had their closed shop with the financial and scheduling advantages of it, yet none of them have used that money and advantage to stay there. It makes Emirates Marketing Project’s doping slightly more palatable as even if they win everything at least the rest of the table isn’t as predictable.

That's absolutely insane. The fact they would want/need to import in a player like Ramsey to begin with is ludicrous. He's fudging bang average at best and hasn't played a full season of football in years.

I like Ramsey, I think he is a good player on his day, but this is just ridiculously OTT. He is nowhere near 400k good. Not even half that IMO.
