Son Heung-Min

I'd start him on the bench Saturday. He's clearly exhausted and his pace won't be much use against a team defending as deep as Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Tough one v Saudi Sportswashing Machine, we could start him and Moura and try and blow them away so we can take him off after an hour, but it can take an hour to wear defensive teams down to open up the space he’d exploit from the bench.

Happy to see Moura start based on last night.

Good thing is we are back to having options all over the pitch again, and Poch can decide based on physical and tactical elements. A week or two back it was literally getting to the point of whoever was fit would get a run out.....

He looked so knackered at the end. That man has the fighting spirit of someone ready to join the army.
Or even one prepared to drag his country through a tournament to avoid military service!

It's an interesting parallel with Eriksen, come to think of it. Both the best and highest-profile players for their second-tier footballing countries. It's a huge amount of pressure on young shoulders.

8 days until the next game after Saudi Sportswashing Machine...as long as the tech is not giving out red flags...we go full tilt then chill at HW with room to breath, at last.

I love this guy. He embodies the humility and willingness to simply be a hardworking cog of the team, that characterizes many South East Asian cultures. I must admit that I would have willingly got rid of after his first season but now... only Harry Kane is a player I deem more indispensable. Not even Eriksen and Alli....

Such a refreshing change from the self-centred arrogance of so many players who aren't fit to lace his boots.

We really should invite the Qatari national team over as a small thank you because, if it were not for them, we would be 5 points off the table, completely out of the title race and anxiously looking over our shoulders for a top four place

commentator on tv attributed Saudi Sportswashing Machine goal to keeper error!
it was such a sweet strike that the ball had both speed and a vicious dip that fooled the keeper. sometimes its better to have ex-pro footballers because they notice such subtleties.

well done son, brilliant take, quick feet and a superb strike. kane could learn a thing or two from son !

To be fair to Kane, he's probably one of the cleanest strikers of the ball I've ever seen. Quick, short backlift, unbelievable power.

Not sure Son can teach him much on that.

Agreed. Kane is just about the only player in our squad who could teach Son a thing or two about finishing rather than the other way around.

We would've been fuming had it been Lloris letting in that shot. Granted It's not as easy as it looks, but as a goalkeeper you're expected to stop that shot.
