Georges-Kévin NKoudou

Jan put in 2 perfect crosses. Unfortunately we didn't have a striker playing :(
Yes they were both great. Crosses from the full backs were few and far between, but I think that was a credit to Fulham's tactics on the day. These crosses from deeper by Vertonghen maybe should have been tried more often.

I think its because hes more of a winger and hugs the touchline a lot - our AMs tend not to do that too much. For example, had Dele still been on the pitch, I dont think we would have scored that goal....

Probably fair.

I dont think he is a world beater, but I certainly dont think he is bad. And as I say, whenever Ive seen him for us he has looked really bright. But cant seem to buy an opportunity.

Even as an outright winger you would think he could be a bench option more regularly. Although I thought it interesting he played on the left yesterday, kind of forces him infield more, and away from that traditional winger role.

I think that's probably the reason.

You never know, maybe Poch has tried to coach him the different requirements needed for alternative formations but not got the response he desires?

BUT GNK is not without ability...he's quick and tricky, so as an alternate from the bench definitely has value.

Although that's not much of a career for him?

It worked yesterday because Rose never had the beating of their full back on the outside, so had to come inside to create anything but of course is much weaker on his right foot so cant cross, whereas GKN on his right foot is fine.

What I am curious about is why he never really did anything at Burnley (not even sure he got much game time?). I was looking forward to seeing him play more and get a few starts in the PL as I too think he has something about him....

Really not sure they play in a way that works for him. Lennon is more workhorse than winger there, and seemed senior to GKN.

Re-watching that beautiful wining goal I was taken by how Rose decided to pass to GK rather than try something himself. That speaks volumes to the unity of the squad under Poch.

Very good point, we do not play with wingers as such and that is what he is. Great cross though and good luck to him. I think you could see when the game eneded he is obviously well liked by our players the way they were congrtulating him.

I just wish there had been some way of us knowing we didn’t play with wingers before we went out and bought him....:D:D:D

Good point. But that is the trouble with punts, they do not always work out the way you want sometimes. :D
