Victor Wanyama

If he gets to anything near peak form he'll be like a new signing.

The few times he's played this season, he's looked absolutely terrible. The other day, he misplaced 3-4 simple passes I'd have fancied making myself.

Hopefully, he can get over the injuries and get back to being the player he was in his first season for us.

He has, hence the new signing comment. ;) Most have written him off, as have I to be fair. We're in bonus territory.

I know he was injured but he's not come back the same player. Fingers crossed it is just a (very) slow recovery.

I agree, the only thing is i do not think he has played that many games since his first injury so he may just need a run of games to prove his fitness. To be honest it took Kane a while after returning from injury to show us his best lets hope Wanyama can do the same.

Very true. I think Kane has only looked back to peak mobility in the last few months (before his latest injury), and I still think his shooting is not as clinical as it was before. It is improving though. I hope this latest injury doesn't set him back too much.

Sandro was never the same after his knee injury. I think that position is so demanding on your peripheral movement that its hard to get back to the top level.

Very true and it may be the same for Wanyama, however i do not think he has been given a run of games to prove if he can.

Fingers crossed. Medical techniques are constantly improving but it feels like a long time ago since he smashed that rocket in the back of the net in front of the Kop.
