Kieran Trippier

It was quite noticeable in the second half that he wasn't being passed to despite taking up good positions and finding space unmarked

We need to buy a right-back in the summer, it's that simple. By far the weakest area of the squad, no stand-out player among the 3 we have. Keep one of the 3 and buy a new player for the first XI.

CM just brick the bed laughing ;)

Though I dont entirely disagree, we can do a lot better at RB and should be addressing it - I just think at this point in time CM is the biggest win we can have.

Get some quality in there and everything goes up a level, we stop conceding so many chances (uncharacteristically high this season), and we start creating more meaningful chances as well.

In the process RB would likely look improved thanks to the increased balance in the side...

All that said, Trippier really isnt helping himself with his performances, and we dont have anyone especially better to put in.
Personally I like Aurier and Id give him a run for a while, take Trippier out of the limelight.

Aurier is the best of the three RB’s we have but none of them are that great. RB and CM are the two areas we most need to upgrade on in the summer.

Trippier is causing us all sort of issues I think, he has no desier to get his body in on the action in our own box, often see his man tapping in with him throwing his hands in the air as if its someoene elses fault.

Aurier is the best of our RBs and would benefit I think if he had the games Trippier had, I think he will improve. Trips as good as he might be goign forward is a dreadful defender

I wouldn’t, he’s been crap this season but far from the only one.

He’s had periods of playing really well for us and I see no reason why we can’t get that level out of him again.

Concur, others have been poor.

But he’s not a top level player, he’s not got the brain or skill set to make up for errors, nor is he young enough to really improve.

I can’t see him being in the England set up much longer.

I suppose there's this thing called 'form', and Tripps is in a bad moment of form. Hopefully he gain regain the good form he had in the WC, and as we have seen with Poch, he tends not to drop players because they make mistakes.

I dont understand how he keeps getting picked, are the other two that bad?

He was a disaster again yesterday and was sheer luck/poor finishing that meant we did not get punished.

Look at his positioning from the screen grab yesterday....

Noticeable Sissoko trying to cover Trips position from his midfield role too!
