Son Heung-Min

Doubt he'll start v Palace, but perfectly feasible to be on the bench. Hopefully he'll fly today rather than tomorrow

Wont be on the bench, but will be ok for Watford
He is the captain so after media duties etc doubt he gets on a plane until Sunday

Plus with our injuries up front not sure playing him Friday and Sunday is a good idea, imagine Llorente will play v Palace and then hopefully be sold to somewhere else next week

Have Qatar bought some players though, that seems like a big upset in terms of the football pedigree of both countries?
Maybe S Korea had instructions ; like to not even try, for instance. Similar to when USA lost 1-0 to that shower Panama in the playoff for the recent Russia world cup.

Well that was well worth us getting knocked out the league cup for. A tournament where we had actually reached the semifinal as opposed to starting from point A.

So now he's returning home empty handed and leaving us empty handed also?

Hopefully we haven't paid him any wages for the time he's been gone?

Very funny!
Irony at its best, love it

Sonny is absolutely the biggest triumph of Poch's era in terms of improvement, passion, and overall connection with the fans.

Son felling the effects of too much football over the last month perhaps with the Christmas schedule and our injuries?

"I wasn't fully prepared," revealed Son, who played three matches in the United Arab Emirates after arriving before South Korea's final group-stage game with China.

"I felt physically empty. I feel so sorry to have let down my team-mates, coaches and the fans.

"I would rather not speak about it really but I haven't felt right physically. I was losing sleep - I should have looked after my condition better."

"I thought I would start to feel better and grow into the tournament but it just didn't happen," Son said.

"Many people expected big things of us and I'm annoyed at myself for not being able to step up. I know I didn't perform well."

No surprise, he played a LOT of Spurs games before jetting off; we definitely got the best of him.

I was going to say at Spurs it is different as he had better players around him but now he is going to have to be the main man until Kane and Alli are back...big ask but he was certainly showing the form before he went away.
