Injury Thread 18/19

Im sure he has been in training most of the season.

Seems that way anyway. Always in training, or back to training soon, but we dont see him...

I don't think he's been in full training?

Anyway, seems Poch is hoping he'll be available for Sunday's game.
Moura and Sissoko both in contention to play tomorrow.

He has managed a couple of appearances, so must have. Then was injured again, then permanently "coming back"/"in training soon".

A bit like Dembele, Im starting to side with the notion he is never going to play that regularly - and on that basis Im ok with selling.

We need a reliable pool of midfielders.

Exactly this, we dont have a weak squad, we dont even have a lack of numbers, what we have/had is too many players which chronic injuries, If Lamela, Dembele, Wanyama, and lesser so Rose were consistently available i dont think Dele would have got injured.

Llorente looked a perfect signing, but simply hasnt worked out.

If we can place those players with players who don't have chronic injuries we would be in very good shape.
The issue we have created in some ways by not shipping out those players last summer is now we have players that need to be replaced for various reasons but now we will probably not upgrade those positions as we need to replace those players.

IF Wanyama is fit lets hope he can stay that way, he was immense for us before the injurys struck. IF we can get him back playing the way he was then happy days.
I fear this is the type of sentimental thinking Poch/Levy may be suffering from. We should get him a tiny bit fit and sell him immediately.

We owe him nothing.
We must have players we can rely on.
We cannot buy players until we clear the wage bill.
Ergo Wanyama must leave at the first opportunity, to be replaced by someone fitter. And hopefully just as good.

Very good :)Sadly ( for some) its being written off all over Europe so i am not alone.

It's not being written off all over Europe. Its just naysayer pundits moaning in the media like a heard of Piers Morgan's.
France, Germany, Italy and Spain all using it fine. It's not perfect but nor is in Tennis and Cricket.
It'll get there.

fight it! fight it! let it go! you know it makes sense!;)

So that's Davies and Sissoko back on the list. Probably Rose too, he looked like he had taken a beating in the second half.

I'm guessing 1-2 months out for each of them.

ICYMI... Pochettino sounded a bit more optimistic than he did about Dele...

“How are Sissoko and Davies?
Sissoko is okay, tired I think. A small thing for Ben Davies. The rest are okay.”

I do think we could have left him out the squad till Jan, freeing up space and if he was fit now name him.

He would have still been able to play in the cups?
