The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

Fulham took he lead against Burnley, but have since then proceeded to finish off two Burnley crosses by putting them into their own net. Are there enough brick teams in the Premier League for Fulham not to go down? I don't think so.

I say chaps, that Brighton squad may not play champagne football, but they're well organized and opportunistic and getting nicely stuck into Liverpool.

Might there be a day in the not-too-distant future when Chris Hughton's name becomes deservedly considered for Spurs manager. Like Pochettino, he's doing remarkably well with limited resources.

Look what you just did.

And Claude Puel is going home in a fcukin' cardboard box.

With Leicester's players mailing it in, Ralph Rabbithutch's 10-man Southampton look like title contenders.

Never going to happen. He'll always be a safe bet for teams looking to get promoted from the Championship, but he's much too risk averse for anything more. As soon as he has them in the PL it's just a matter of time before the fans start doing a Charlton or Stoke and demand more attacking football and top 6 challenges. One more season of safety first at Brighton and the fans will be pushing for a change.

He does need to work with a bigger club to boost his image. Could see an opportunity open up for him sooner than later at maybe Everton or Leicester - would he dare take West Ham? - where he'd get better resources to grow his reputation. I like him and the heritage he brings, but still a ways off leading a top six side.

Already started

Weird game at Brighton. Ref gave Liverpool absolutely everything (and was booed off) yet other than the penalty Liverpool didn’t look like scoring.

Yet Brighton never really seemed to get irate or fully go for it.

BT Sport to Sarri
Hudson-Odoi drops to the bench, is this you resting a top talent
Resting he only played 70mins all season and that was in the cup
So up their arses, ridiculous

Kevin really was a Friend to Liverpool today. Every 50-50 call went Liverpool's way. Line calls were also harsh.

All season mate
No injuries or suspensions
Loads of flukey goals, pens and offside goals
Its their year

To be fair, they had a midfielder playing CB today due to injuries. Also, both Sky (Le Tissier) and TalkSPORT said the penalty was clear.

Ive seen it a few times and its so so soft and the clam makes an absolute 10/10 meal for it
And 1 injury 20 games in to disrupt the back 4, cry me a river
