Transfer Window Thread

I can't believe I'm the first to post about Woolwich not being able to sign any players as they don't have the money and would like to get a couple of loan signings.
Just read it on bbc. I guess their budget was the 70m they spent in the summer, it just didn’t seem like they’d spent that much as none of them were players I’d heard of. Comsidering they are out of the CL it doesn’t feel like they are being particularly ambitious or have a lot of faith in Emery.

Bayern Munich are in talks with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who was linked with a free transfer to Barcelona in the summer, and could sign the 23-year-old France international in January. (Radio Montecarlo, via Express)

The perfect replacement for Dembele is Southamptons Mario Lemina.. his stats are amazing http://www.squawka.com/en/compariso...e190423&s=103,113,116,114,306,307,401,304,313

We were linked with him in the past, shortly after he got to SCBC if memory serves.

Hasnt pulled up any trees at SCBC but when you look at his skill set he definitely looks like a player Poch can work with.

Arnautovic has stated that he wants to leave wet spam to win trophies.....

In China. The dream of every footballer, to win the Chinese cup.

Especially when on
£400k a week!

If I were a footballer I'd take the Chinese cup over a 14th place finish with Wet Spam any day of the week though. :p

70m in the summer and PEA in the winter windows, so well over 100m net spend in a year, not mentioning the ridiculous OTT wages they pay their players so the new signings will be on the same. All this without the champs league revenue. I’d say they have pushed the boat and it’s not really worked, you can’t level lack of ambition at them.

Two things I have read (one plausible, one less so).

1). its a wage cap that is bothering them - you can only increase wage bill £7m p/a without increasing revenues and they have already hit this. I don't know why this would effect Loans vs buys perhaps a big loan fee and the other club pays the wages.

2). Kronke needs to keep their large cash reserves on the books as he has used the club with the reserves as collateral for borrowing for financing other projects / buying the club.
