Moussa Sissoko

A very good game yesterday, he never stops moving and passed the ball quickly and on target. If he keeps this up he will be among the choices for our player of the season.

Indeed. He won’t get it because the consistency of Kane and Eriksen has continued to be strong, Dele has reached another level and Toby has settled back into the side well. In a team full of guys who are performing really well it would be hard to say Sissoko is POTY, but equally he would deserve to be in the conversation.

Something very strange happened today - Sissoko managed to play most of a game of football and only made me laugh at him twice. Another step up in his quest to become a real footballer.

Sorry, my friend... No amount of deflection can take away that big slice of humble pie, that was served to you warm - with custard - by our master chef Moussa Sissoko over this lovely Christmas period.

Or to quote Phil Thompson on today's Sky Sports' Soccer Special programme: "The pace he has got, his choice of passes from that midfield area is not short of sensational."

Phil Thompson :ross:

If we get into a discussion on astrophysics I'll be sure to quote Harvey Price's opinion for you.

Not sure why you think humble pie will be appropriate at any point. When he's playing brick I'll tell you he's playing brick, when he's playing well I'll tell you he's playing well.

Another excellent game from Sissoko, he was superb as our defensive midfielder today and broke forward well as usual. Passing was very good again, quick and accurate. We really can't ask for any more from him imo, I bet Poch is over the moon with his contribution, given our injuries in central midfield.

And he's not gonna get a rest until Dier is back imo, so it's a good job he's a bit of a machine as well!

Different player. The transformation is miraculous. And the way he is enjoying himself right now and connecting with the fans is great.
transformation is correct. i think there is still a bit more to eke out from that body. great thing is that Poch found the keys. i don't think it was mentality, more something from the heart like courage or belief.

I always saw the player he has come to be. Watching his France performances, all that was necessary to get the best out of him was to keep him busy and not thinking too much or too often.

Running on instinct and reflex, he's a joy to behold. I'd hate to have play shoulder to shoulder against someone as big and mobile as he is. Human grindstone.

I watched the game yesterday with friends who hated Sissoko. I mean really couldnt stand him. I have always said, there must be something there cos he Was great for France and Poch keeps picking him. We sat there and my mate just said he couldnt
Believe the transformation and he is pleased to see him on the teamsheet
At the moment. I would love him to score a couple of screamers- he’d almoat get cult status!

The amount of ground this guy covers is amazing, he must be up there with Eriksen for how much work they do off the ball. Before any of the boo boys ( for Sissoko) get their nickers in a twist i am not compering them as players. :)
