Next 9 League Games

Really is the wrong time to be losing Son. I'd like us to go in for someone to compete for those front two spots anyway, but Son's absence might make it imperative.
I think Moura replaces Son, even if we bought someone in Jan I can’t see Poch integrating them into the team immediately. It is a shame he’s going though, he’s possibly in the best form of his Spurs career at the mo.

Last two seasons we have got 46 points and 50 points from last 20 games. Would take us to 88-92 points if we can replicate. Unfortunately I don't think that would be enough this season to win the league but may run us close.

COYS

One game at a time and all that...would be a wonderful run of games to be in the new stadium for but hopefully we can take advantage of our away loaded start.

But we are light there. Son goes and we have two players for two positions, no redundancy no rotation.

Yeah we know better than to look at the schedule. We all play everyone again more or less.

We’ve got to take points off Liverpool and City as well, but we could be within touching distance when we play them.

So...our upcoming fixtures for the next 6 weeks...

13th Jan Man Utd (H) PL
20th Jan Fulham (A) PL
24th Jan Chelsea (A) CC
27th Jan Crystal Palace (A) FAC
30th Jan Watford (H) PL
2nd Feb Saudi Sportswashing Machine (H) PL
10th Feb Leicester (H) PL
13th Feb Dortmund (H) CL

No rest for the wicked...Love it!

I do fear the 3 games at the end of January purely because of the physicality likely to be involved; Watford especially worry me...

It’s a tough run due to the timings again
This week between the United and Fulham games could be invaluable

It all depends on the Palace match. If we get a couple of early goals and can then coast to a win, we should have plenty left in the tank for Watford. But if it's a close one with lots of running, our midfield is going to be knackered.

Unless Big Vic is ready to come back and kick arse, of course.

It was interesting to watch how we played in the first half against Chelsea. A lot of moving the ball around the back line, getting it forward, then passing it back and side to side. Might not be the most entertaining way to play, but it certainly saved a lot of energy for the second half when it was needed to defend against Chelsea's Russian-drug-amped attacks. And, hopefully, kept us fresher for the ManU game.

It wouldn't shock me to see a repeat of this when the situation demands and I would hope fans don't take the exasperated tone I heard in the league cup win. It's smart football given our present resources.

United a challenge after last nights exertions but hopefully 5 days will be enough rest whilst they enjoy their shopping trip to Dubai. Would be useful to have Moura available from the bench from that game.
Palace might be a rotated team.
It’s fingers crossed on Dier and verts coming back, the former allowing some rotation between winksissoko, the latter possibly opening up a back 3
option if there’s any need to rest one of Moura Dele or Eriksen (that said I feel a lot of our attacking success has come from quicker long balls now that we tend to hold onto the ball as long in midfield)
