We had a transfers budget, we choose not to spend it.

We bid at least 25 million on Grealish.

Of course we have a budget... i was responding to your previous post which was full of links saying the stadium wouldn't affect what we could spend - i don't think there is a club in the land which would not be affected financially by building a stadium.

One supposed 25m+ bid for a Championship midfielder doesn't really strike me as evidence that the club is sitting on a budget big enough to have really impacted things this past window and i don't think there's much point blaming the window now that it is closed, the squad we have have here is what we have to work with - and it's a squad good enough to do better than what we saw today.

Looked like we were running on fumes as the game wore on. They were lively to start and didn't let up and looked a well-rested, well-prepared side.

Not gonna get too down about this result. We've come through one of the toughest weeks any Spurs side have played - two derbies and a top CL opponent and won the first two in fine fashion. If you'd offered me that before the week began, I'd have taken it.

Yes, this is a loss that will get the popguns supporters chirping, but this always looked the most likely game to lose of the three.

A lot of football left and we're still well in the hunt for a top four spot.

I'm Not apologising. I don't care what you guys really think about me it's nice if you like me but if you don't fine, but let's not pussy foot around this. Poch is not a winner.

Regardless of what you think about me he isn't and we won't be winners until we have a manager that is a winner.

So if we won the league cup but finished 10th that would make Poch a winner?

And if you have been supporting them for that long and your honestly thing Aurier's performance is the worst you have ever seen then I simply refuse to take your opinions on this forum seriously

I did say arguably and isn’t GG a matter of opinion. If you don’t agree then fine but don’t be a prat about it. We all on the same team here mate

Look man I know i

Look man I know I totally need to take a chill pill. But come on, how many times do we need to be changing into this fortress team to be then shown as a complete joke of team. Its boring. I must be too but it's so obvious what is happening with this team.
Poch has taken us so far but we either need 500m for him to win the league (which even Tony pulis would do with that money) or we need to face facts and say we are a nearly team and come out and say it.
Poch is fudging boring as is spurs as a team. What's the point in beating Chelsea and smashing them when we are jeckyl. And Hyde. Just be consistently brick with no backbone or spend 500m and be the nuts.

Poch can't motivate an already motivated team, it's boring. Shows no strenght other than being brick and then becoming stronger.

This really is being a victim of your own success. Today stings big time but teams lose games. We lose far less now than we ever have as long as I’ve supported Spurs and that’s down to Poch.

It wasn’t boring when we were fighting relegation under Ossie, Gross and Pleat but it was fudging miserable. If a manager completely overachieving against much richer rivals is boring, I’ll take it every day of the week.

Spurs team do well and we go on a run.

Spurs team are brick and lose and go on a poor run. .

Spurs team do well and we go on a run

Spurs team are brick. ..

Too laborious its overwhelming.

Excellent point well made sir.

Ahh, come on. Think back to how good you felt after seeing Spurs spank Chelsea and grinding out that great win over Inter.

Ah yeah. Those days I love football but today stings so I plan to sulk for a bit.

I still love these players and this manager. We’ve just had a bit of a tiff today. Happens in every committed lifelong relationship.

Foyth over Toby? Massive mistake.

Dier kept on over Winks? Massive mistake.

No change after 60 mins when the game was clearly fading from us? Massive mistake.
Not playing Moura against old manager? Massive mistake.

We don't have a winning manager, but I'm fine with that as long as you lot are...

One good thing about today - the. Passion of the NLD is back. Can't wait to play them at Home. In fact we play them again in 2 weeks. Here's hoping that we are more up to it then.
Oh no... Forgot the cup game. Imagine losing there twice in two weeks....

I think the team will be hurting and want to do them. Plus Lamela will be back to take out toreirra or whatever his name is.
Is it our second game after a loss or the next game? If so we should be OK for our first win after a poor run before we go on a decent run and lose when everyone says we are a fantastic team back on form.

Zzzzzzzzzzz

They made 2 half-time subs too, we probably should have got some fresh legs on much sooner to try and match them.

Poch is having to manage a squad. I’d have started Toby but he’s played every game so I can understand that.

Moura has done little in recent weeks to deserve a starting spot. Dropping Alli, Eriksen or Son would have been crazy. In fact, Lamela is probably ahead of Moura in the pecking order.

Hindsight is a great thing but there is no guarantee any of those decisions would have worked in our favour.

This isn't really helping with the whole living down the G³ 45 minutes schtick matey...

Let’s calm down boys - it was 2-2 until 74 minutes, when our 20-year-old CB made a monumental fudge up out of nothing (and the subsequent strike got a lucky deflection). Easy to say in hindsight that Foyth shouldn’t have started, but not many people were questioning that after the Chelsea game.

I agree Poch should have made changes sooner, but no sub could have prevented Foyth’s air kick (unless he was brought off of course!)

I will continue to think that Dier should not be playing CB though - absolute schoolboy for their 4th, in response to the simplest of passes.
