Lloris might make a decent completion rate, but imo his choices are often poor, especially putting teammates under pressure when a long kick would be better. And it goes down as a completed pass when he does this silly little chip out to the full-back that is completely telegraphed...this pass often not easy for the full-back to get under control, meaning the full-back's next pass is done under a lot of pressure and we turnover possession. But nevermind, it goes down as a completed pass for Hugo, so all good, right? Technically, his shank to Sissoko the other day was a completed pass -- I wouldn't wipe my ar5e with that stat.

Hugo was very good today - we would certainly have dropped points without him.
So this may sound petty but... his ability to dive the wrong way for almost every single penalty is uncanny. If you were tossing a coin you could never be wrong so often.

Because the whole team performed so well against Chelsea, Lloris's contribution seems to have gone under the radar somewhat.
But for once the complete absence of any hesitation or uncertainty whenever he was involved was both notable and heartening. Hoping this is a sign that he is at last over his post-World Cup/drink-driving wobbles and that we can now look forward to a more prolongued gaff-free spell.

Dunno if it was my imagination, but seemed like he kicked long v Chelsea more often than not. Didn't do us any harm, I'm glad we avoided giving them any momentum by playing stupid passes from the back. It's good to build from the back, but in games against good teams, we should play with more pragmatism (and that's what we did v Chelsea).
