Football and TV

It is getting more difficult to follow football legally.

To many different broadcasters, dont see how it is making it more affordable for the public.

Wish i could just pay tottenham direct to watch all matches live. I would still go to 7 or 8 games a season.

Me too. You’d imagine that time will come - it’s taking longer than I thought it would though.

I feel really sorry for the modern generation the entertainment like live football and true music legends was easily affordable to me as a young man now most have to watch on tv or on line, the real buzz is being there, even going to the cinema has been drained of all the magic as modern venues are no more than warehouses selling drinks and snacks.

I’m probably nearly as old as you mate, certainly closer to that than the “modern generation”.

I still go to other “live” events, but football matches tend to attract football fans, who are mostly clams, I don’t want to expose my kids to tinkled up tribal nonsense.

I do watch the occasional game on the TV, but there is no better place to be for atmosphere then actually being there. ( imo).
I agree to a point, but sometimes it doesn't seem worth the travelling and poor atmosphere (I'm talking home games, not away).
I've even turned down tickets to NLDs, as my local puts on a pre-match breakfast and it's roughly 50/50 Spurs and Arsenal. The banter and atmosphere pre- and during the match are brilliant. After the game depends! Obviously this only works because everyone are mates.

I agree the home games are not always the best for atmosphere at times ( to many happy clappers and part time fans), the away games are brilliant though and always have been. Not one for watching games in pubs (if i can avoid it) i am not a big drinker anymore and there are always a few arseholes who can not hold their drink ( and even worse never shut up about how they could do better).

I guess its a sign of the times that some folks would rather watch the TV then actually being part of the fun and games of being at a live event.

I've had more games ruined by whingers than happy clappers (I can't remember a game being ruined by a happy clappers but I have turned down the chance to go to games with Steff).
