FA Cup 5th Round Draw

I went to school with Ronnie, although I'm a couple of years older, always same him with something Spurs. Just after he was released from us, he played a Sunday morning game for the same Sunday side as me and all his old school mates, this was just before he joined Dublin City. Top lad, created both the goals I scored that day :)

I saw in facebook earlier that a few of his mates were saying that he's already buzzing about the tie.
 
A definite potential banana skin,they are in decent form at present. We cant mess about making 11 changes,no midweek games before or after. Hopefully no lack-lustre performances from certain players again. Another trip to Wembley is up for grabs here
 
I can't see us taking any risks - we played a decent squad against Cheltenham and this team's in a higher division. I'm expecting a Pav, Defoe, GDS kind of line-up. We should win
 
not easy for all teams involved. used to be excited with cup competitions but not this season ... at the moment happy to maintain league position and forgo FA cup. not sure if we have the depth to compete in both.

About time we won something. Especially since the FA Cup used to be OUR cup.

It's four years since we won the Carling Cup. And great as that was, the FA Cup would be even more awesome.

History is made by winning things. Not by finishing fourth or even third. We've already sacrificed two cup competitions. Would be a disgrace to sacrifice a third - in addition to being hugely disrespectful to our cup sponsors, Investec. We have a great chance of winning the FA Cup this year. And at most - even with replays in both the 5th and 6th rounds - it will only involve six more games. More likely to be only four more games.

If we can't handle that while all our competitors for the top four and title are involved in European competition and / or the FA Cup, then we don't deserve to be a top club and we don't deserve to be competing for anything.

So let's do it.
 
We need to take advantage of a decent draw so far.

I'm quite sure HR knows, a cup along with CL qualification again this season would ensure his pkace amongst the great Spurs managers.

It must be a long time since we managed to avoid PL teams in Round 3 to 5 of FA Cup. Atleast we are getting some luck in the FA Cup draw this season. We will need all the luck if we want to go all the way. But you have to be worried about our semi final jinx. Really don't understand how we lost our last 5 semifinals, especially to Everton in 1995 and Portsmouth 2 years ago.
