Son Heung-Min

Who is next and when?

Even getting a silver medal could surely be spun into reducing the military service to something like 6 months I'd imagine.

Games coming thick and fast now. Any idea of when the semi and final kick off uk time?

It's looking like South Korea v Japan final. Even in defeat a silver medal might at least help reduce the service he has to do.

Also once it ends, he has the international break to rest up and then take sissokos place on the bench against Pool.

I know SK were pretty poor in the WC, but I still find it hard to believe Uzbekistan (!) are actually any good. It just doesn't sound right. Then again, I don't know anything about Uzbekistan.

A bit like Iran in the world cup, they were a very decent team and very much to my surprise.

But - thats because of my own ignorance!

I have a feeling that they will give exemptions if they make the final. Don't think Japan will be as much of an issue as people think either.

That probably depends on the political mood in SK and attitudes to exemptions to national service, neither of which I have a clue about.

Too much emotions for Sonny in that, I am so worry about the stress on his shoulder, he is a professional football player and he will survive but may his mind won't be clear soon.

Historically, Japan isn't that much to worry about. However, they are clearly one of the favourites nowadays.

Interesting...Son would have been 22 when South Korea won it in 2014, so eligible without being an overaged player. I wonder why he didn’t play.

Come on Sonny make up for that missed opportunity!
