One in one out?

No not an ITK (Well I hope not!) but if you had to give a priority list to DL, who would the be the one player leaving and one arriving that would make this a positive window?

So for me, as much as I pine for a player like Zaha or Martial who could support or fill in for Kane I’m going for Llorente to go, obviously there are a few others but his lack of mobility and now lost confidence negates any benefit his experience brings.

The in I’d plump for is Modric, I genuinely think it would be a statement of intent, he has no ego by would command respect for all, help us control games from deeper and mentor Winks and other Centre Mids. Has a good injury record and not many other 4 time CL winners we can attract.

The ol' in n out........

I think Modric is a player that you could guarentee would take this team up a level instantly.

With regards to the out, any of the surplus to requirements lot, got no real beef with any of them in particular though, guess N'koudo or Janssen as they were less involved last season than others

Agree with all that. Wish we'd stuck with Janssen ahead of Llorente though....

As much as I grew frustrated with Janssen during the 16/17 season, he offered far more than Llorente. Llorente was like trying to place a square peg in a round hole when it comes to the way we play, a waste for us and for him.

I've said it all summer and although at this point a pipe dream it would have to be Bale or Modric in and as already mentioned Llorente out.

Looks like the Bale dream is dead, sounds like hes been given assurances with Ronaldo gone. Modric could be possible if Poch wants him....

My thoughts as well, nothing against Llorente ( he has been there, done it and got the t/shirt at the highest level) but he was not suited to our game, as for Janssen i think he should have been given longer.

"Offered far more" is stretching it a bit when it comes to Janssen. If he did then I am sure he would still be in the squad rather than shipped out on loan. We need far better than Janssen, even off the bench, if we are to compete for trophies. The top 6 will be even more competitive this season. Janssen is good enough for a lower PL team not for us I'm afraid.
