This is France's to lose for me. The Croatian players are running on empty.
 
Much as I would like Lloris to enjoy a World Cup victory, I can’t envisage any scenario in which I would want France to win.
 
Had France down as winners before the tournament started and i expect that'll be what happens, would be happy to see Croatia cause an upset though
 
Croatia really didnt impress me last night. My disappointment was not in losing, but in losing a game where the opposition werent obviously better.

They are a decent team, have some wonderful players, but Ive watched them against England, Russia and Denmark and thought they were entirely beatable in each. They seemed to labour to the wins. And they seem to be effected by the occasion.

Ill be another fully expecting a France win.

That said, we do love an underdog dont we? And it would be wonderful to see Croatia win.
 
So, this will be the Final of the World Cup 2018. Feel a bid sad that this memorable World Cup will be over after this match. It seems like this World Cup went too fast. Wish it can continue longer. Maybe if there are 48 teams as they are planning for the 2026 World Cup, it will be even more enjoyable !

France will be clear favourites against Croatia in this Final due to having more quality players. But the mentality of France will come into question in this match. After all, France lost to Portugal in the Euro 2016 final in France. France got over confident and complacent against Portugal. France simply have to win this Final or they will be known as one of the biggest bottlers in history for failing to win 2 Finals in a row. Let's see if France will have the right mentality against Croatia to win the World Cup this time.

Unlike France, Croatia will be in their first ever Final. Not sure how Croatia will play in this match. Croatia may be a relatively small and new nation but they do the have football tradition of Yugoslavia. Remember Yugoslavia used to be called "the Brazil of Europe" due to their quality football but they never fulfilled their true potential. Let's see which Croatia will turn up against France.

I think the best ever World Cup final was when Argentina beat West Germany 3-2 in 1986. Since then, almost all the finals have failed to live up to the occasion. In fact, except for the 1998 and 2002 versions, the rest of the Finals have either finished in a boring 1-0 win or decided by penalty kicks. Let's hope this final between France and Croatia will be more exciting and have more goals scored compared to the previous finals.
 
I’ve loved this World Cup but I’m not as excited by the final as I normally am, I’m still down about how close England were.
 
rooting for a croatia win but its a contest of fresh legs - so france is it, very like mbappe's. just hoping croatia will put up a fight!
