Adrian Rabiot

He's also fallen out with all his PSG managers, because he insists he wants to be an AM, but clearly has the skillset of a DM.

Well IF that is true it makes me wonder why he has been there for 6 seasons, if he was that arsey i am sure he would have been shown the door before now.

The times I've seen him live, he's been a menace going forward. With the ball and without much help. Strong and determined runs, just rumbled over, past or through defenders.

Call him a DM all you want, but he has balls the size of buckets when he gets the notion to go forward.

That wasn't really my point. My point was that he has a record of ignoring his coaches and playing where he thinks he should, rather than where they want him to.

He seems too wilful and egocentric for a Poch player
What a ridiculous statement, even for you GB! How can you possibly know? Are you regularly talking to Ancelotti, Blanc and Emre? Get a grip man!

It's been well publicised. You know for example that Balotelli is unmanageable, without being buddies with all his ex-coaches.

Was responding to greatwhitenorf actually.

I agree with you that it wont be possible to have a disruptive personality in a poch team.

An upgrade on Dembele is a player that passes forward and not just sideways and backwards. Its ok beating your man but whats the point if you just turn around and pass it back again?

To be fair, though, if you beat your man and then pass it sideways, you've still advanced the ball - you've carried it further than it was when it first reached you.

Still, I agree. We haven't had a central midfield distributor since Modric. Even Winks has been more of a rhythmic, tempo-setting midfielder that keeps the ball moving than a genuine deep-lying playmaker.

We could do with one.

Also, with regard to Rabiot, I wonder if we now have a bigger chance than we did before today. Rabiot exiled himself from the French national team before the WC because he threw a strop about not being guaranteed a spot on the final squad.

Well, that French national team has now won the World Cup without him. And if he wants to get back in when they're on a high, he's going to have to do some major ass-kissing.

One of the people he'll have to convince will be one Hugo Lloris, captain of the national team. Who just so happens to play at Spurs. :)

(Btw, the same logic can also apply to Martial - you want to get into the World Cup-winning French side, impressing at a club which has the national team captain in it isn't a bad idea. )
