Pubs near Tate modern

So i am being dragged back to London this weekend with the family! We are going to be staying near the Tate modern and need a recommendation for a watering hole to watch the quarter final in.

Help me out GG you are my only hope!

Doggetts is just along the river, its a chain, not great, but they have brewdog beer on tap and a big screen, probably will be heaving though.

The Mad Hatter just behind there is big and probably won't be as busy. It's years since I've been in there though, so can't vouch for what it's like.

Thanks Milo and Galeforce, my google efforts just seemed to come up with "wine bars" . The Nelson looks like a interesting venue to spend a afternoon, but will some clam through beer over me when we won? Or will there be a custard option??

I'd expect the Nelson to be reasonably clam free unless @galeforce and I decide to join you.

The Ring is just across the road, so you have an easy back up plan if needed.

You could walk towards London Bridge. Plenty pubs round there and it's a nice stroll along the river.

Also I made 'The London Thread' for posts like this. Use it and feed my ego.

Megathreads my friend. That's the future. One day we'll combine all threads into one main thread and the world will be a better place.

Get out of the dark ages.
