Sounds like grandad needs to step up ;)

You'll need a holiday when you get back to recover.

Anyone going to the barça game in LA? If so, maybe we can arrange a beverage before, during and after?

Given a majority of our first team squad will be tired after a long season and World Cup, you can safely assume Poch won't be requiring them to go to the US in late July.

Fair point that that competition is going to be a lot weaker as all teams will be in the same position!

That said, last group games are 26th June, so for teams which go out early, players could have 3 weeks off after than then go on tour, but probably only play the last 20 mins of games.

Otherwise it'll be Davies, Foyth, Aurier, Winks, Lucas, Llorente/Janssen / GKN (if still here) plus a bunch of kids and perhaps a new signing or two!

There isn't any competition in these games, they are money spinners and nothing more. The most that we can hope from them is that a young player gets a chance to shine.

I didnt actually mean 'competition' in that the games are full-throttle - I meant that, for the competition, the names on show are going to be a lot less recognisable than usual, so the competition will be weaker.

On this general theme, givne we've been slow starters under Poch, perhaps the WC will help us in that a lot more teams will be slow starters as the big players will be half fit...

I know what you mean - “ tournament”.

Supposing, just supposing England make the WC Final on July 16? It has just dawned on me that is 3 weeks prior to the start of the season so how many weeks holiday will Poch give our players?

And just imagine if was an England v Belgium final?

And remember Son will away in the Asian Cup so he will miss the start of the season anyway.

Serious relegation fears.
