the Tim Sherwood man love thread

I think he hasnt the first idea. I think he believes he is the dogs danglies and is entitled to top jobs and respect in the game.

I dont think he is smart enough to have the sort of awareness to actually see he is a bad parody of Harry Redknapp on a sketch show.

Maybe, at this point where he has been out of work a while, he will be forced to consider the truth, but I doubt it.

He was on BT score/soccer saturday type thing the other week, thought he knew better than anyone then even though he was spouting off like the know nothing drunk that sits at the end of the bar in the pub shouting at the screen (we all know one).

So maybe not.

Oih I sit near the screen!

Apparently also was the first to know about aubamyang too ..

Timmeh come home!
Well... he said he went to watch Brazil vs Gabon to watch Sandro play... saw Aubameyang sprinting as a winger and recommended him to the manager. They followed him for a year but ultimately the manager didn't want him. Can someone check these facts?

We were heavily linked when AVB was manager. Auba was keen to join but something went wrong with the way we negotiated with him. Aubamayang has told the press about being upset with us

FWIW...

Aubameyang joined Dortmund from St Etienne in 2013, but could have signed for Tottenham under Andre Villas-Boas a year earlier, only for the North London club to opt against a move.

"I was at Tottenham back then, had a tour of the stadium and the training ground. We held talks," Aubameyang told Bild. "But after that nobody contacted me again. That's definitely extra motivation for me on Wednesday."

Speaking on his podcast 'The Big Inside View,' Hunter has told how the Portuguese manager wasn't convinced they would succeed at White Hart Lane.

"Andre Villas-Boas was the coach, Aubameyang was offered to Spurs and the football structure at Spurs went 'This is clearly a player that we want to have a look at, let's meet him.'

"The agent took Aubameyang over to London and Andre Villas-Boas according to Daniel Levy wasn't interested, wouldn't meet them, didn't see the point in wasting time on them."

AVB is such a dingdong.

Tim Sherwood knows what it is like to coach world-class young players
:D In the same way Gordon Brown knows what it's like to run a country! Doing it by default doesn't make one qualified for or good at it.

Is it Ian culverhouse?

No - it's Paul Blades

I'll bet my house on whoever it is being a better manager than Sherwood is.

And less of a clam.

Yep - a better managerial record and still employable:

Paul moved into management in May 2004 when he took over as manager of Everards Brewery Leicestershire Senior League club Stapenhill. Paul only lasted 8 games with Stapenhill before departing the club.

Paul is now working as a health and safety officer at The Cube, the final £100m phase of Birmingham’s stylish Mailbox complex

I always liked Holtby, and I liked him a hell of a lot more than Sherwood.

If these comments were from anyone else maybe Id pay attention, hearing it from him seems more like validation that Holtby was a bloody good player wasted at the club.

Sherwood, since leaving, has done so much damage to his reputation. Its to a point It would be impressive if he could tell you what shape a football is.

And the most hilarious part is he blah blah spouts on about football as if he is the bloody oracle, amazing lack of self awareness.

TBH the comments were not so much about Holtby, as about him, him being the wise guy,him making people laugh at Holtby's expense. Sherwood is just another rent a quote, I think deep down there may possibly be a decent bloke struggling to get out but he comes over as a totally classless clam. Lewis gave his all when he pulled on a Tottenham shirt, which is all I ask of any Spurs player, shame on Timmeh for mocking him.
