    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

This is why we need a proven manager coming in. We appoint a nobody and then I wouldn't blame players who are at/near their prime from leaving.

If I wasn't a Spurs fan and I'd been at the club...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

Yep, being provne just increases the chance of successful - no guarantee obviously but at least they know what it takes to win. Hiring an unproven manager is more of a gamble

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

How often do you see situations where a manager develops his replacement? One of those things much talked about in the press but rarely happens, like buying two players in one deal or swap deals

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

For every Rodgers and Martinez though, there's people like Lambert and Laudrup who have been ok at one club or for one season and then failed. And for everyone one of them there's a dozen like...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

We need someone proven in a decent league. Levy would be crucified if he appointed another unproven guy after AVB and TS. That leads you to LVG, Allegri and Ancelotti, whilst you can also make a case...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

Just cant see Man U appointing a manager who they know will only be around for say 3 years. Despite what has happened with Moyes, they dont have Real Madrid, Cheatski or Man C's hire and fire culture...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

Dont know much about Allegri but he's far more proven it seems Pochettino. And after, AVB and TS, I cant see Levy going for another manager who either hasny won much or is coming off a train-wreck...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

Maybe, though given he seems desperate to manage in the PL we have more bargaining power that we ordinarily would with someone of LVG's stature. And there's not a huge number of jobs at decent PL...

    Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

First three I agree with. However we've dragged our feet badly over the LVG situation, as we do with all transfers, and it could come back to bite us, as its done with many transfers in the past

  17. Re: Next Spurs Manager v.2

Dont believe that Utd would go for LVG. They'll look for someone who could be their manager long-term. LVG is a great manager, but he wont be managing a football team in 10 years time

Re: What is our best X1?

Amazed how many people are picking Kaboul - he's been absolutely awful since he came back (Naughton-esque levels of awfulness). Granted he might be rusty but its incredibly concerning

I don't have a problem with Sandro tweeting that he's fit, simply because if he hadn't, the fans wouldn't know. There would just be further speculation about him and people would be saying that he's...

So if we draw here and **** win their next game, then we're 9 points behind with a vastly inferior GD. Do you think Levy will just fire TS when we're mathematically out of contention for 4th or wait...

  24. Re: ****OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Fulham **** Saturday 19th April 2014 12:45

There doesn't seem to be much between the teams. Shows how low TS has taken us. Needs to go before our better players ask for a move
  25. Re: ****OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Fulham **** Saturday 19th April 2014 12:45

Add Verts to that and you have a decent base of a team. We then have a whole bunch of other players who a new manager would be able to improve. The squad needs some tinkering but not wholesale changes
