Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

I wouldnt accept that! The cash would cover the wage difference so you're swapping Lloris for ZI, who is 33

He can only become a top player when he learns to pass the ball quickly though

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Agree. If it wasnt for Lennon being below him in the pecking order then Townsend might have been vulnerable in Jan

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Conceivable that the group could come down to goal difference so, given Besiktas are whacking Partizan, winning be a few could be important

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Agreed, though he doesnt look to me like someone who will develop into a genuine top class LB. I dont see too much difference between him and Rose in terms of overall quality. Davies looks better...

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

I agree. Play him in the cups this season - better he plays in slightly lesser games, stars and therefore develops more rather than play in bigger games, get less of the ball and struggle

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Not many of the non first teamers are putting their hands up for a PL start here are they? Townsend, Ade and DEmbele not really done much (positive) at all. Kane is about the only one who has done ok

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Townsend must have the worst shot success ratio out of any player who's ever played the game at any level in any country (ever)

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Moving him to CM would be done on the same basis as why Sideshow Bob was moved there for Cheatski. However they also realised that this was a fudge and sold him to PSG (the 40m I guess was another...

    Re: Erik Lamela

I agree with that. Last year he was anonymous, this year he's more involved but he hasnt yet dictated any game and I dont recall him ever being MOTM or particuarly close to it it any game. I think...
  14. Re: 5 Best ... And 5 "Worst" ...in our current squad

Agree with the few people who have said that we have a lot of 'meh' players now - gone are the days when we had particuarly exciting players or players which the top 4 wanted. You look at the team...

Re: Tottenham's second string vs asters tripolis

Yes, jury still out on whether Bentaleb or Stambouli will make it at Spurs longer term however Dembele just doesnt look good enough to make the step up from Fulham, where he was a star in a poor...

    Re: Ratings vs City

As I said in another thread, Paulinho and Dembele add nothing to us so flog those two for 20m - 25m combined, bring back Carroll to replace Demebele and spend the cash on an attacking player with...

    Re: Emmanuel Adebayor

Yep, Soldado's link up play, as always, was very good today. Shame's he's not a bit more physical. Personally, I would play Soldado ahead of Kane and Adebayor as I think the way he links attacks is...

Re: Welcome to Tottenham Hotspur, Mauricio Pochettino

**** result today but what we all expected. Silver lining is clear progress again going forwards. Thought Soldado, Eriksen and Mason were all very decent. Main thing we lack going foward is some pace...

Re: *** Manchester city Vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR *** OMT

Whatever the result today, we look for far more like a team that we have done for a couple years. Soldado, Mason and Eriksen especially good. Only thing this starting line up lacked going forward is...

Re: *** Manchester city Vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR *** OMT

Agreed. Early days but based on his performances since he's come into the team, I'd keep starting him ahead of Paulinho, Dembele and Stambouli
