You forgot this steaming pile of "journalism"....

Tottenham, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Bolton chase Newcastle United midfielder

Newcastle's controversial midfielder Joey Barton, who has been told he has no future at the club, is wanted by Tottenham, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Bolton according to The Express.

    Gulp...

Also forgot Stewart Downing and Kenwyn Jones. Ugh.

I'd go for Muntari and a striker, that'd be enough for me.

Would be interesting if someone could compile and update the links/sources of the updates until the transfer season closes - as sometime rumours killed can have the uncanny ability to be resurrected.

A little more interesting...Seems like the bruising striker that could do well in the Prem. We've been linked before, so we'll have to wait and see, but I would be happy with Negredo.

Tottenham Hotspur Must Wait For Alvaro Negredo – Report

Real Madrid's presidential elections will have to take place before any decision can be taken on who the striker will play for next season...

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to make their interest inAlvaro Negredo more concrete but they will have to wait and see what Real Madrid will do with the striker next month, according to a report in AS.

The Spain Under-21 international striker has spent the last two seasons on loan with Almeria and has had several major clubs monitoring his progress, including Liverpool.

But, as the Reds have decided that he is not what they require, another Premier League side have stepped up their enquiries and the player is aware that a move to White Hart Lane could be on the cards.

AS state that Negredo's next move will depend on Real Madrid. This summer will be los Merengues’ last chance to exercise a buy-back clause that could see him return to the club for €5 million.

No matter what happens in the presidential elections, it is considered unlikely that the 23-year-old will stay with Almeria. The big issue appears to be whether los Blancos wish to take hold of the player again.

Jorge Valdano could be set for a return to the board of Real if Florentino Perez takes charge and he has said he would like to see Negredo given a chance at the club.

Negredo has also stated that his first choice would be to prove himself with los Merengues, but he has also recognised that he could be re-signed in order to be sold on at a decent profit.

Real Madrid's elections are on June 15 and Tottenham will have to remain patient until then to know who they are dealing with regarding a move for the highly-rated forward.

listening to talk sport on the way in to work i heard Alan Brazil say he thinks we will sign Tevez and Alonso....

if we do that would be unbelivable..... but we wont.... they will both go to top spanish/ italian clubs if they go anywhere

You can slap Fernando Llorente on that list - Spurs have got someone watching him at the Copa del Rey final tonight. The British media have it, so it´ll crop up tomorrow or the day after at some point somewhere.

He´s the big dollop who scored a header against England when you played Spain. I wouldn´t get too excited though - as Atrain said above - we´ll be watching about 200 plus players before the transfer window shuts, so just ´cause someones having a look, it really means bugger all.

I have a friend of mine who went on a tour of anfield stadium last friday. Anyways Jan Molby was there doing the tour. He said to her that he understands that Alonso and Mascherano may/will both leave with Alonso going to Spurs, apparantly 17m, but not sure where mascherano will go.

Make of that what you will...
