Phantom Of The Lane - COYS - Today (24/6)

    About Robben

From my source in Spain, I have some inside on the Robben situation...

This deal is very much on, Robben wants to get out of Madrid as they really dont want him, he is perfectly happy to come to London and is discussing terms of the transfer at the moment. He has been working with a fitness coach last couple of months to make sure he is fully fit. Levy negotiating with Madrid at the moment terms over the contract, from what I know a fee is not a problem. This should all be complete one way or another in the next few weeks...but its not as far off as people may think...As far as I know Huntelaar and Heinze not happening.

    Thats all.....

Right, take a deep breathe, you need one to get through this lot, hardly a comma in sight.

ITK.... Words have been said he doesn't want to leave was
told that if he stays he needs to sort out his attitude we are
trying to swap players with Kenwyn Jones, Levy is trying
his utmost to get as much money for players as possible
quoting silly money to teams £15mil or swap for Muntari Inter
£10 mill for Zokora to seville Sunderland and Birmingham. The
club has money to spend buts want to get in at least £30mil
for players. Have been told that we may even keep hold of
Bentley. Been offered Downing for £9 mill club thinking about it.
The info is from my father-in-law who represents a couple of
the academy and female players down at the lane he is a FIFA
Licensed agent and is now living in Leicester a couple of players
on his books are Marcel Mckie Calum butcher and Rossi Webb
Peter and his new wife were up staying with us over the last
couple of days hear in Inverness. It was the first time we had
disscussed any Spurs info as i told him Robbie Keane was off
again he laughed. Reid is his surname if you dont believe me
because i know how skepticle people are on this site. Im not an

Cattermole- i didnt know about- not sure what my opinion is really!

Chimbonda has been offered a contract by Blackburn but is on hols and back next week

Taarabt- deal in place as reported however Malaga did the same last year and when all was ready they couldnt find the money and didnt sign the contract so we are sceptical!

Bent should be off within 2 weeks(sunderland, wigan and Villa all interested) no more than 10m at the mo though

My mate is doing work experience at a football agency who work with Tom Huddlestone and Lennon and some other Spurs players. He has no news on them, but he said Spurs are close to signing a left winger and Glen Roeder is most likely to take over at West Brom.

I dunno if he got this because of his placement at the agency or he just heard these rumours but I thought I would just post them up anyway, nothing really that groundbreaking about Spurs though haha.

  •  06-30-2009, 9:14 670222 in reply to 669985

What a load of drivel on these sites by reporters just throwing a name out of who's coming to the lane. Now many of you will remember i broke the stories of Pav and modric joining 2 weeks before anyone else, so let me pass on what my source told me last night. With us spending 42m in Jan levy is hoping to re-coup all of that and then he can give harry the go ahead to splash the cash. The Zokora and Bent deals are stalling which is frustrating for all, but these two deals should be wrapped up before end of week, with Bent joining Sunderland for 14m and not 18m as quoted in sum national papers. Zokora has a choice between Sunderland, Birmingham or Seville. Reports of Nistelrooy, vudinic, martins or huntalaar joing they are wide of the mark, my source tells me inters obina is top of Harry's list to replace Bent. Bentley and Huddlestone will sign for Villa and Everton respectively whilst Nigel reo-cocker will be coming the other way. Now if like me you was unimpressed by those incoming then what he told me next had me punching the air, Harry as already had advanced talks with Joe Cole's agent and he is going to speak to Joe when he comes back of honeymoon about a move and how is foot is feeling, this deal though may only go through end of july.

    Just passing it on..........Boring

OK - I don't do this ITK rubbish much where politics isn't involved. But I thought it might be fun to ramp up expectations.

I've got a mate at the Times, and an associate through him who runs a financial consultancy in the City (he's a scum but that's besides the point for this).

His business is thriving despite the downturn because they do a prestige sports deals - so player transfers in Football, along with team sponsorships in F1 and so on.

Last night he said something like "Oh you're a yid arent you? You'll like this then. Spurs should have four deals done within a week.

The guy at the Times reckons he never goes into detail unless you buy him more champagne than you can shake at. But he knows his own status so doesn't often exagerate.

Two out and two in was his expectation.

Posted: Today at 2:29pm Have heard that Dos Santos could go to Atleti to make up the €€€.

Maxi doesn't want to leave as next year he is a fee agent and can command a big salary what with having no fee involved.....Atleti want him gone so they can sign players.

Basic agreement in place with Atleti just that Maxi is after big bucks next year.....

Benjani and Pennant.  Not first teamers, just HR wheeling and dealing for the squad.

Pennant is ours as soon as Bentley is sold.

Benjani is a fall back option if we are left short of strikers - he is desperate to come but we will only take him as a last resort.
