Here we go then, i got back early this morning from banus. I was ment to come back on wednesday but stayed in his villa till yesterday. We are defo in for him, but so are liverpool(without alot of money),villa, city and chelsea. It was funny being with bale and dave in linekers that night, the bloke that runs it just got them both up there to start serving. Garath is a top bloke, bought us a few drinks and all his mate were alright aswell. He's got meetings planned next week when he comes back, he's still out there with his family. If we can do a deal with blackburn it could happen, if we offer dave the right money, it could happen. Lots of things to be sorted out.

If i know anything for sure i will let glory glory know.

I know some people on here dont like or rate him, and there are a few on here who like him and rate him.

For me it would be a dream come true for a mate to play for my team, we will just have to wait and see.

    Thank you very much mams.

If he does come, let's hope he does the biz, him n Lennon can switch and give different types of pressure on the oppo, and give Ramos different options in formations.

Dos he want to come, or would he like a Northern team?

Where does his mate say that? I read he was coming back off holiday to meet Blackburn next week, and Liverpool, Man City, Villa and us were interested in him?

i do. armstrong is an egotist. can u imagine gary mabbutt setting up a diabetes charity and naming it after himself? no its something beckham or ronaldo or henry would do.

Name recognition tends to work with charities. If attaching his name to it makes people donate more money is it egotism or smart business?

so reports and ITK's saying " 95 % done"........."Bentley, deal done"........."he is ours, fact"......... are actually way off the mark

the way mams delivered that piece of information is the way that one SHOULD deliver ITK information.

more and more i hope people can clearly see the difference between bullshit and good honest humble and realistic piece of information

    BUT...........................

i was thinkking something the other day....if arshavin goes to somewhere like everton or newcastle for like 5 to 10 million (factoring in the age, his sponsorship, the club he plays for and th region he plays , not to mention marketing / markatability), and i we go out there and but someone like benltly for 10 to 15 million then i would be livid.

having said that i think arshavin will be pushed about for 12 million but the actual transfer price will come down

bentley does have the edge in that he is a succesful prem player, i just dont think he is a ramos player

i am actually quite surprised that someone like you would start dos santos, you being a realistic and evidentiary pragmatist......i'm sure you would wait till dos santos showed something in senior footabll to the level of modric and arshavin before starting him ahead of either

but no i would still have a 442 formation going

                                                          berbatov                      keane

     arshavin/ modric  ........................................................................................arshavin/ modric

    .........................................X..............................X..........................................

i would be looking for the the two X's to be predominantly more defensive minded than attacking ..though one of them would be much more lisecnced to break rank and go forward than the other

i would also be looking for BOTh modric and arshavin to be able to play in these areas at any moment of the game

     .X (LW)...........CF............................CF...........................(RW)X

     ................................X (in the hole/ SS)...................

    X.(LM)................(attacking mid).X.......................X..(RM

both modric and arshavin i would want to be able to hold the position of the X's (in an ideal world)...ala pires, during the 90 mins of most games.

I agree to an extent about Dos Santos needing to prove himself, but I have a feeling his (seeming) genuine ability to play as a wide man will give him a serious advantage. In a 4-4-2, I'm not sure I can see Arshavin and Modric playing at the same time, occupying both wing positions. I suppose the width burden could be absorbed by Bale, but I'm not sure. Also, looking at Modric in this tournament, I don't see him as a winger, especially in a 4-4-2.

100 thousand a week?!! no way, not on the back of one good tournament.

i think you might be putting too mcuh on the glory he has shown in the euros tbh, chelsean and arsenal may very well be interested but there should be a priority to thier aquisitions, and as good as arshavinn is, i dont see him as a scolari type player......but most likely i am wrong , also as far as arsenal are concenred if they have moeny then maybe they would want to spend a big chunk of it on a position they may not need as urgetnt as they would say a striker and CB and new holding midfielder. i suspect there is a genuine desire to start nasri as a replacement ti hleb ifthey are willing to part with 12 million.

i dont think i have ever heard of someone being given 100K a week on the back of one tournament especially based on my assumption that he earned under 50 K at zenit. the 100K a week is reserved for the best that have the physical and mental endurance to perfmorm at the highest possible standard every week for an entire season and forcasted future and have proven they can do it first before they get given that.

arshavin might very well go to a G14, infact i expecte him to, but the thing is that he isnt yet an estblished graet in a big leauge and his stock is rising from an obsure value due to lack of exposure and marketing. take note that hiddink also has had a good hand in his progress too, all that point to the idea that arshavin is one that would be very obtainable by the tier of clubs just under the global powerhousees with enough fiancial and infrastructure to get a player like him

having said that i think it would be waaaay to easy for a another club to offer him a 50K plus wage deal, which we wont do unfortunately.

but certainly getting him is much easier than someone like Etoo that you so happily agreed with some random ITK as a possibility of getting Wink

if you cant see arshavin and modric playing at the same time then you must be totally baffled as to how wenger has manged it all this time Smile especially when he had pires and lungberg, neither of whom were actually wingers but could occupy the position. they may be faster as a pair but certainly the way they used the positions would be no different.....

can we accpet that arshavin can play wide?

plus regarding width etc......steed and taarabt were fine with you....how come not arshavin and modric?

modric is not a winger but he should be employed/ deployed out there, and occupy those positions better than what we have
