Worst pundit or commentator

It's a shame that it's too late to nominate Chris Sutton. Displaying monumental idiocy on MOTD2 tonight.

It's accidental so it's not a red?

Drunk drivers don't intentionally get people killed so presumably Chris Sutton believes there shouldn't be a punishment for them either. What an utter uberclam, Mark Chapman (who I can find a little irritating) did put him in place a few times.

Chapman was noticeably getting annoyed by him.

In fairness to Garth, you have to say "shows he has a poor mentality" when you're not allowed to say "shows he's a fudging clam". It is the BBC old boy.

Crooksie always makes me smile; I love the inappropriate gravitas he invests in everything he says. The only man on TV who can talk about an offside decision as if he's dissecting a Russian novel.

A couple of typos in that article, which I have kindly corrected :

Imagine the uproar universal acclaim if a foreign manager said all English footballers Paul Merson and Phil Thompson were thick.

The phrase "he doesn't know the English game / Premier League etc." should be banned on television. The Premier League clubs' chance of getting back having success in Europe rests on the foreign managers of the top clubs bringing in impulses and knowledge from the rest of the world, making the English clubs more competitive. One could argue that Arsene Wenger is the coach that knows the English game best, being the longest serving manager in the game. Look where that got him.

Shearer can't say 30 words without mentioning himself.
Seriously, read his columns this season (if you can stomach it) - he just cannot stop himself shoe-horning in "it reminds me of when I...."
Strangely, he doesn't raise the same comparisons with his managerial "career" though.
Smug clam.
Shearer paying tribute (to himself) at Freddy Shepherd's funeral...
"It is well-documented that there was another, so-called big club after me, but it was Freddy along with Kevin (Keegan), Sir John (Hall) and Douglas (Hall) who was instrumental in getting me home.

"I left 10 years later with him as my great friend, playing for my club, breaking the goal-scoring record, living my dream"

Seriously - even when paying tribute at another man's funeral. It's an art form.

Anyone watching the Spurs game today, Tony Gale on commentary for us yet again! He's is an absolute wonderc@nt! Keeps going on about how the attendance is nothing like the record that "everyone" was claiming it was going to be, had anyone said that? I hadn't heard that claim anywhere, sounds ridiculous? He's mentioned it about 3 times now in the first half alone!

Also critical of Winks because "he doesn't pass forward". Unfortunately for the tw@t Winks proved him wrong a second later only for him to claim "well it was more diagonal than forward"!

Honestly why have a west ham fan do our games it's a joke!

Rant over for now...

Matt Holland was commentating on our game today and I have to say he was very good, not kissing our arse or anything, but just very fair, criticizing Stoke’s display as much as praising us. Makes such a difference than having to listen to Tony Gales sly digs, back handed compliments and obvious hate for us.

He actually even criticized the ref today on a number of the crap decisions against us, that literally never happens!

Yeah, I'm sure I've listened to a couple of games with Matt Holland as co-comm and was similarly impressed by him.
