Why are people not more excited about Champ League?

I do get what you all mean, and yes, there's still a chance we're gonna miss out. But hey, this is part of the joy of supporting Spurs. We thought our season was destined for failure after we lost to Pompey in the cup semi final, and look what happened then.

I still remain optimistic and think we're gonna do it. Can't help myself, maybe I'm just naiive. COYS!!

Sunday was a bitter disappointment. To have definite CL in our own hands with just 2 games to go and blow it is what hurts soooo much.

Can not speak for everyone but for me and the guys i go to the games with its the way we have collapsed after having such a big lead, add that to the way our manager has taken his eye off the ball ( because he REALLY believed the FA would give him the job) and its the we have become disillusioned. I have followed Spurs for more years then i care to remember but i can say i have never felt so low and i really will be glad when the season is over.

We Have a squad that is capable of challenging the very top but for several reasons we have failed to live up to our potential.

25 years of supporting Spurs leads me to the strong belief that we won't be in the CL. Two of Everton, WBA and Bayern won't do use the favours we need.

Worse still this is one of the most depressing seasons in the last 25 years because of the enormity of our balls up in throwing it away.

It has been the strangest season, we have played some great football, yet we have lost nearly all our big matches.

Sunday's performance summed up the way the team has played for the later part of the season.

Strange that statistically it has been a better season than most, we have some of our best football in 20 years, yet the manager is hated by many, and thought of us an bumbling idiot , who is getting nearlly everything wrong.

We are in limbo - have been one way or another for weeks.

Good post.

I agree with parklane1. Any team that doesn't fulfil it's potential must look back in disppointment. Same as anything in life, there's no pride in taking a bronze medal when you were clearly capable of the gold.

We arent in the CL, and even after (potentially) finishing 4th we still might not be - so its hard to get excited at this point

ItÔÇÖs going to be sweaky-bum time at WHL this weekend, so please let me get psychologically prepared for it in my own way, because itÔÇÖs the hope that kills. [-o<

It's kind of like the time that one girl you were obsessed about gave you a handjob. At the time it was fudging unbelievable that this girl who you thought was way out of your league would do this. Then she fudged off for a bit, then came back all flirty and you felt sure that you were in. You were so looking forward to shagging her, and had texted all your mates that you were going to shag her. Turns out she was just offering another hand job. fudging bitch. Well she's still hot.

I don't think many people are excited because we're all bloody nervous about the last game. And I can guarantee that the majority of Gooners and Saudi Sportswashing Machine fans will be as well. Regarding the latter, even though they never expected to be this close to the Champions League places at the beginning of the season, now they're there it's a matter of 90 minutes that could decide what happens!

Next sunday is going to be ridiculous. The title is down to the wire between two rival clubs, fourth place between two rivals and Saudi Sportswashing Machine - and the last relegation place between two clubs.

Anyway, if we get third then I'll be excited. Should we get fourth, then Chelsea lose the final in Munich then we still have to get through the play-off! As always with Spurs, don't count your chickens until they hatch.

Bloody handjobs, they're a bit like Jenas - what do they do? Was a bit of a laugh as your first sexual experience but once you've been exposed to Brazilian fart porn I guess it's a bit tame!

because everyone's too busy slagging off the manager and the team despite another excellent season.. personally im very excited at the prospect.

IF we get 3rd and get automatic CL ill be massively excited

IF we get 4th and Bayern win ill be very pleased to be in the qualifiers

The qualifiers seem to get harder and harder each year though, so even if we do get 4th and Bayern win its not a given

I have a horrible feeling we'll get a draw and Saudi Sportswashing Machine will win, pinching 4th. And yes, I do tend to look on the negatives in life :p
