That really does encapsulate the roller-coaster ride that is supporting Tottenham. At the moment we're sat in the carriage on the way back up the ramp.

Said this before, I cannot underestimate how important that 2nd goal Pav scored v Young Boys in the 1st leg. We will obv never know, but coming back 3-1 down we might have struggled to turn it around.

Times haven't changed that much have they??

Ah you ledge. I was there. My favorite season ever. It never felt better for me than 81/82, we were arguably the best team in world football not to win the league.

To dare is to do.
It says everything about who we are, what makes my pants sticky and why I'm a spurs fan. We played the game in an expansive, entertaining way, during my formative years (late 70s/80s). (The football boring boring Arsenal played at the time probably did as much to make me a Lilywhite.)
AVB's appointment ripped the heart out of the club. I found the whole period highly depressing.
I don't know if Tim is the long term answer, time will tell, but it's undoubtedly improved the football. I've got my club back.
