Vincent Janssen

We are 2cnd in the Premiership, in the semi finals of the FA cup, have a fantastic training ground and are currently building a world class stadium.
Our squad has players that other clubs would give their eye teeth for.
This has been achieved without the finances of our main rivals.
Laughing stock? Levy out? Poch out? are you serious?

He is joking.

How long do you give a new poster time to acclimatise to GG? A season? Two? Or are we writing him off already?

it depends which board he posted on previously and whether he has shown himself capable of producing the kind of output we expect here - a seasoned poster from say SC will be expected to hit the ground running, but someone a bit wet behind the ears from say TFC should be allowed the time to acclimatize and make that step up in standard

I'm guessing you came from a Tottenham social media page?

If he's from TFC we should probably muzzle him for everyone's safety until he's had his shots.

BBC Sportsday includes :-

Netherlands striker Vincent Janssen has broken his duck from open play and might have been a candidate to deputise for Harry Kane, but the 22-year-old has a chest infection and Tottenham say he will be assessed ahead of Saturday's match, but add that his health is improving daily

so he starts a game for the first time since I can't remember and no comments ? Well not much to comment on because even as a target man he's anonymous, one half decent run all match, he had one shot for the 73 minutes he was on the pitch, the apologists will come out and bleat it was a different formation, burnley played very physical, they packed the midfield and yes that's true but decent strikers create opportunities for themselves, this guy wouldn't know how to run into space if he tried.
Poch did the right thing in replacing him with Son who's been flying halfway round the world the last week (while VJ has been sitting at home with a stomach upset, poor thing) and in the supersub role, Son gets the goal and looks 100x more threatening up top.

First start will not always be a fairytale. I think we sit down at the end of the season before we judge with convictions either way.

I think there is a player in him and is intelligent. Better strikers have taken time adapting to this league and leagues around the world.
