Victor Wanyama

Probably best for us in the end, got an early sub, more rest before NLD.

Think we are in a good spot now, Wanyama has been great for us, and when absent Dier steps in and reminds us why we thought he was the key DM in club.

Last night convinced me against teams that sit back, Dier is so much superior on the ball that he starts in DM.

Wonder if Poch could do some magic and get Wanyama to be comfortable at RCB. Then depending on if we need to be more attacking or defensive Dier and Wanyama swap positions. Unfortunately not sure Wanyama has the ability on the ball to receive ball off LLoris under pressure on edge of the box

There was a game earlier in the season where he got booking in the first 10, and everyone panicked, but he was impeccable

Only been twice this season where he should have/should have been sent off

Considering he was meant to be a walking red that's not to bad.

I'm leaning towards him getting my vote for player of the season. So consistent and important to us. Control of central midfield = Kane Alli and Eriksen can flourish. A key factor in how tight we've been defensively this year.

Some of his passing today would've had Modric casting admiring glances. Some of those interception's in the second half were outstanding, but it was the way he drove on after that was more impressive. He didn't slow down and look for the easy pass, he took ownership of the situation and we reaped the benefits of it.

Victor's second half is in contention for best individual second half of the season!! Utter beast mode.
Reminded me of Toure when he wasn't brick.

Intercepted everything, tackled when he had to, drove straight through the middle of them, laid it off well when going forward. Excellent work.
