Joey Barton on Pool

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Barton said: "They are so chinny, to use a boxing analogy. They throw a great array of punches, they are lovely going forward but they remind me of Amir Khan... they are vulnerable to just getting knocked out!"

Pretty fair comparison though. For me it's always wow... they look pretty but can't do the basics and that hurts.

The level of delusion among Victimpool fans gets increasingly worse each day, and today was of course no exception. During lunch at work, they were discussing the tragedy of Mane's injury and of course that everything and everyone are against them. Furthermore this was said, and they ALL agreed, and i quote:
deluded victimpool fans said:
Mane is undoubtedly BY FAR the best player in the Premier League
Astonishing! I could not hold myself, and started laughing, and they all looked at me as if "How dare you question such an obvious fact!" :D:D:D

Mane is a fabulous player. Its not often Im bothered by other clubs dealings, but he is certainly "one that got away" for me, I think he would be incredible in our team, the missing piece of the puzzle.

That said, he is a player with a lot of development to do yet. And, depending on your taste, its arguable he isnt even the best player at Liverpool.

Best in the league? Pah!

And he was never in our reach due to his wages ...

He's a dangerous player, but not one I could warm to, his disipline record is poor he does love a dive and a little bit of afters yet surprisingly this is all missed in the clamour to look for misdemeanors by Deli

There were rumours we were in for him before he joined Southampton on this very forum, he was definitely affordable then.

Yes that’s fair comment
But let’s be honest, who on here had ever seen ro heard him play for Salzburg???
His stats were amazing but you don’t see Austrian football on tv

Was hoping the TV cameras would give us a shot of King Kenny nodding off in his seat in the second half. We did get to see Gerrard staring wistfully. Maybe remembering his all-too-brief, but oh-so-memorable final appearance against United.
