Vardy

Not sure either way. He mainly a speed merchant imo.
Could work.
Id prefer an option to Llorente

Aside from being something we are already effective at, its also not a major feature of our game.

We'd be better identifying someone able to break through 2 banks of 4.

And then you consider he is 30 (31?), and on big money already at Leicester, where he really has only had one especially good season...

EDIT: Actually he just turned 32

He's a prick, first and foremost.

Secondly, he's made for counter attacking. Its well proven he doesnt work without space to run into.

So he isnt suited to us on two fronts, not even worth entertaining.

Agree that his style of play might not suit us. Similar to how Darren Bent didnt - effective at a low/mid table team which sits back and them thumps the ball over the top. We need a CF who can be more clever with movement

Rather you than me. Fortunately he would never come to us as back up for Kane so we are safe

Fair enough but he offers something different with pace, has goals in him and is wasting his time in Leics, there are plenty of games at Spurs and many that sometimes need a plan B so would be less back up than Llorente.

Based on what Spurs spend (Although wages an issues) and what is out there, whats your alternative?

As a striker I think the current thinking is clear.

Son is the alternative. He has deputised ably for Kane, and is already doing the job (hence Llorentes complete lack of game time).

Which then means its more likely we go for someone like Malcom to add to our AM pool to allow Son to move forward without costing us elsewhere.

Considering how good Kane is, and just how much he plays, I think its a sensible choice to not even look at competition/back up for him, it seems a waste of squad place.

We need someone who can work the channels, bring others into play and interchange with the two/three behind him. Vardy has shown that he is not comfortable playing that way.
