The transfer window thread.

I think if we sell eriksen we still don't need to buy a striker. Just get soumare and bruno fernandes and then son can be left properly free to play as our striker until kane is back.

Levy can then work on selling the dead wood for the best fees possible in the summer.

We also wouldn't have to bring many in during the summer, maybe just a right back.

He needs to see this as bringing some of the summer business forward in order to give us a chance of catching chelsea and causing a shock in this seasons CL.

If he doesn't do this then he can look forward to the club playing in front of dwindling crowds at the new stadium on Thursday nights.

I don't think Bruno Fernandes makes any sense at this point and playing Son as striker still means we have an issue at LWF. We simply don't have another player for the position.

Yes, we're really lacking for numbers in attacking positions. Its shocking that we've left ourselves so short.

That said, frankly I'd take us signing any one player in any position who is close to being a first choice player. We have a lot of prblems to solve

I cant see how we make CL football next season

We dont and levy will have to accept that this will needlessly be the case, unless he is prepared to do something big along the lines I outlined or bringing in bale.

I think that was the plan under Poch. Sessegnon and Lo Celso strengthened the options in those areas and Son/Moura were quite good last season.

Mourinho wants the target man option though. A Llorente replacement.

Can’t Moura play at LWF? Actually seems to me it would be his ideal position.

I've wondered the same, from what I remember he's pretty always been played out on the right hand side. He does seem to have the cut in dribbley style that would work from the left and a good shot from medium distance but who knows. [emoji848]

He's done it to cover Son quite a few times (or when Son is covering Kane). Its worked ok but I wouldn't say it was a long term solution.

Jose seems to have gone the other way and pushed Moura up top and kept Son left. I'd prefer Son right up there I think, Moura on his own looks a bot lost.
