Why are we advertising on a website that would normally only offer me russian feckbuddies in my area?
While I'm on a role, why do I keep getting a pop up a the top of this page for Liverpool kit?

Probably uses an Adsense type thing. Which means that it isn't the club advertising to you - it's Adsense/ a similar program showing you the adverts most likely to get you to buy stuff based on your browsing history. All the club does is register with Adsense/that type of program - it doesn't control where the ads are shown, or whom they're shown to.
It's hilariously inaccurate at times, mind. I get ads here for GMC trucks, continuing education and PwC consulting services - because I Googled military 4x4s, the college near me and jobs at PwC. All exactly once each - but for Google, that apparently means I 100% want to drive my monster truck to community college while taking overpriced advice from PwC on how to manage the business I don't have.

Oh my......is that glory glory?......expect a full site shutdown by @scaramanga and a root and branch investigation.
Since it's the official store it's a good thing. Every time that ad is displayed somewhere it costs them a fraction of a penny.
You know you can close the announcements at the top, don't you? You don't have to read about posting adult material on every page.
Or do you leave it there as a reminder because otherwise you'll just go into full porn hound mode and post it all over the place?

I just thought anything Liverpool related (excluding the Victimpool thread) appearing on the site would horrify @scaramanga and cast a stain on his empire, but if its bleeds a few pence of them then so be it although i guess there's a few £M to go before we balance the books with the scouse benefits collective.
