The Goon Thread - Officially Second In A One Horse Race

They were unlucky with some decisions, that is fair.

Xhaka looks like an absolute donkey, so if he makes a mistake Im sorry Mr Wenger, but thats on you.

The bit that makes me laugh is all the focus on a CORRECT offside decision, as if it wasnt correct. However, it does make sense, as it was the only time they came close to scoring!

if some sort of var is intorduced for offside decisions, theres going to be a huge issue with decisions like the lacazette one.

the screengrab that BT were using shows lacazette to be in an offside position, but i bet theres another screengrab that would show him to be onside taken a split second earlier. With incidents like this that are so tight, it basically depends on when the producer decides to pause the clip. It'll be a situation similar to the olympic walking event from a few years back; basically technology will show that these things are not so black and white

You might be right but as long as the question which the VAR is asked is something like 'can you see anything which definitively means that the on-field decision was wrong' then it should be ok.

You just pause it when the ball is passed.

Wheelchair had helped set up one of the goals as Arsenal were leading 4-1 during the second half before he was on the receiving end of a heavy tackle from the City midfielder Matthew Smith.

After getting to his feet Wheelchair squared up to Smith before pushing him in the chest. In the ensuing fracas the City defender Tyreke Wilson ran to the centre circle to confront Wheelchair, the two players grappling each other round the neck before team-mates became involved in shoving and tempers boiled over.

Once calm was restored, the referee showed the red card to both Wilson and Wheelchair. Arsenal went on to win the match 4-3.

Arsenal to tell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain if he can leave after he turns down new deal

The way they deal with contracts is absolutely ridiculous
