While we're re-upping annual threads I thought I'd get this one started as it's highly unlikely we'll challenges for the title now we don't have Jack Grealish in our squad. I know, I just jinxed it...

It will be tougher this year. I'm not as confident as some. Top 6 is probable but hopefully top 4 again.

We will certainly finish top 4, there just are not 4 better teams than us in this division.

Yes, we’re by far the greatest team the world has ever seen.

That aside, though, any one of a dozen clubs might do a Leicester and our obvious rivals have stronger squads on paper. Nothing from eighth to first would surprise me.

We had all this kind of doubt last season, lots of people "ohh, Wembley" etc.

Man City are better than us. Maybe Man Utd, assuming Mourinho doesn't implode this season -- but I don't actually think they are better than us. Maybe Liverpool if Salah produces at the same level AND all their new signings gel and hit the ground running. Arsenal aren't in the running imo and there's nothing to fear from Chelsea either, we are better than both of those teams, who can both enjoy the Europa League phucking up their league season.

Poch won't fail to get this squad a top 4 place.

Points will be harder to get this year for everyone. Several clubs have improved. A lot of London derbies this year, and there such fudging battles. But yep we'll just do enough. But I would keep as many bodies as possible and give Janssen another go.

I think we will be once again challenging for the top four again, i can not see us overtaking City and i do think Liverpool will be better. Not too bothered about Chleski and Utd may implode if Jose throw his toys out of the pram.

It will not be easy but why should it be?

I think we'll challenge for a top 4 spot and its most likely between us and Cheatski to join Man C, Man U and Liverpool as the top 4. Chelsea's midfield of Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic with Willian and Hazard in front looks pretty strong but they lack a CF and CB pairing. Arsenal are outsiders but don't see them gaining enough ground comapred to where they were last season to have that realistic a chance.

As I said elsewhere, think its 50/50 whether we finish top 4. Not an awful position to be in, but I'm less confident about top 4 finish this season than I was going into the 3 previous seasons

I honk we will get top 2

Pool will start well but brick themselves with the pressure

United will blow up with Maureen

Arse and Chelsea won’t like Thursday night football

City will win it by 10 points

I think it's a battle between us and Liverpool for 2nd

United will implode as it's Mourinho's fated 3rd season. Chelsea and Arsenal will struggle with new manager/other turmoil

I can see Liverpool and City going for the title and us and Chelsea in 3rd and 4th with United and Arsenal 5th and 6th.

3rd. Like it or not Liverpool have improved and we were equals last season. Got a feeling Mourinho will have a meltdown at not having spent another couple of hundred million and Chelsea and Arsenal will be tougher prospects but havent done enough to convince me they will finish ahead of us.....

Interesting how many people are predicting a Utd meltdown, both here and in the media. It doesnt seem a happy camp there certainly, and their football last year was turgid, but they did manage to win games despite that as Mourinho teams seem to do. Its a surprise that they haven't been more active in the transfer market this summer to shape their team better - Pogba needs to play in a midfield 3, but that then means that Sanchez gets stuck out on the left wing which reduces his impact. Will be interesting to see how they do this season however, because of the way they play under Mourinho, teams 'working them out' can't hit them this season as frankly there wasn't much to work out last season! Feels to me that them slipping is reliant on their internal spirit being dire and Pogba's ego causing rifts

It actually feels like an unusual season as I think all the top 6, bar Man C, have issues which cause them to be somewhat more difficult to predict compared to most seasons

From what I saw of Utd they were bloody lucky a hell of a lot of times, and luck isnt something anyone can rely upon.

Teams dont fear them, they will go at them, and in all honesty they are just solid and unspectacular. A good side, but one lacking imagination - workmanlike more than anything.

I said last season - when Matic is the guy the whole side is looking to to make things happen, somethings not right.

And since then Mourinho has done a good job of alienating himself from the players and management - how long before that seeps into the performances?

United's keeper won them a stupid amount of points last season so they rely on him more then we do on Kane.

I have us anywhere from 3rd to 6th. Think the press will try and upset Eriksen and plant rumours about him leaving around December time.

Maybe, just maybe, the lowered expectations from us not signing anyone is a good thing, and we'll fly high as relative underdogs once again? I can see this team capable of surprising critics and pundits.

Lots of question marks, obviously, with key players returning late, new stadium, possible disrupted players in Rose and Toby, etc. A lot of our success will IMO depend on the fringe players' performances, especially in August/early September. Our Dutch and English contingent are likely to be slow starters, so the key to a good league position will be to hang on in there while the likes of Kane, Dele, Trippier and Vertonghen get up to speed.

Bar a City collapse and an exceptional season for us (and noone else) the title is out of reach. Pool will be the likely title contenders, but they too will fall short IMO. Arse, Manure and Chelski are all question marks, but we know they will all be up there fighting for top four. A lot will depend on how their squads respond to their managers - Manure and Mouninho will be especially interesting.

Us? I think we're good enough for third again. Second is doable, but I think this will be the year Pool overtake us, unfortunately.

Our force is undoubtedly a settled squad and a settled manager. You know we can deliver. Hopefully the new stadium will also be a big boost for us - we proved last season that the stadium change didn't have a very big negative impact, and I'm sure NWHL won't do any harm either.

    COYS!
