The FA Cup 2018-19

When is the draw for the next round?

Monday night. Recently it’s been on BBC during the One Show (7pm onwards)

EDIT - seems it takes place after the Wolves v Liverpool game on Monday. So 10pm onwards (UK).

Have to say the whole enjoyment of the FAC “first round proper” is gradually being whittled away. Having matches spread across 4 days, splitting the matches into groups with different kick-off times (for what benefit?), the magic is definitely diminished. One of the fun parts was always the draw for the next round, having no idea (or at least no reminder) of which teams were attached to which numbers,so there was always a nervous anticipation for every ball drawn from the pot. Now they show the big team numbers on the screen so you know as soon as the number is drawn which team it is. Trivial maybe in this day and age but something has been lost. Let’s go back to the days of tuning into the draw on the radio!

Great result for Barnet.

Barnet striker Shaquile Coulthirst says he wants to play Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round after scoring the winner to knock out Sheffield United.

Coulthirst, a product of Tottenham's academy, converted from the spot after Richard Stearman brought down Ephron Mason-Clark to secure a 1-0 win for the non-league side.

Nice to hear!

It has always been drawn on Mondays afaia, which also makes it after the last game of the round has taken place - so the 10pm draw keeps it in line somewhat, whereas a Sunday draw before the last games have been played would be more of a change from tradition

Traditions are changing though, I’m sure united had an FA cup game not on TV last season?
