Van Dijk is twice the player of Stones. He can actually defend, he's calm on the ball, has decent pace and is almost unbeatable in the air. Looked too good for Celtic, and looks too good for Southampton. Good player.

One supposes a Liverpool-ManU final would be best for us as they'd both play with the usual walloping gusto and intensity this derby routinely features. Which could deplete them for further league matches and creating future fixture congestion.
