The Dugout - best place for the manager?

I'm seeing HDTV monitors being placed on the floor of National Hockey League bench areas now. They are placed behind the players where the coaches can not only have immediate access to detailed replays but other data feeds. Also seeing assistant coaches holding tablets where video can quickly be accessed and shared with players.

Most football clubs have someone monitoring various video feeds and relaying info promptly to the bench area so that the manager can quickly get into the ref's grill about bad calls.

there's a reason it costs more to sit in the upper than the lower tiers, its a better vantage point of course, its a great thread, I don't know why anyone manages a team at the touchline level.
