Smith has zero technique. What he does have is one hell of an eye. When it goes, as it always does, he will struggle. Boycott was the reverse of this principal.

He's unconventional and at times erratic, but in full flow he plays glorious shots and is extremely entertaining. Leaves the ball very well and has a solid defense.

How about that back foot drive through the covers, amazing. Limited technique is completely wrong.

Good to see Manchester giving him a decent reception.
 
The lad was born to bat!
He is totally annoying mind!
But he the best I’ve seen and so consistent!

Edit - and single handily will help Australia retain the ashes imho
