I was at the game on Friday, proper old fashioned day of cricket, 2 runs an over. Was superb to see Cook get some runs. A couple of mates and I had a fantastic day getting slowly drunk, in the sun, talking rubbish to each other, in the best beer garden you can hope for. Long live test cricket!

Was lucky enough to see him and Pieterson bat in Adelaide on the Ashes tour in 2010. If we hadn't have rolled them by an innings in three of the tests, he would have scored over 1000 runs that series.
