Edward Sheringham
Can't see this mentioned anywhere?

Teddy Sheringham named new Stevenage boss. Good luck to my favourite all time Spur.

I live in Stevenage, but I can't say I follow the team. Most people here support Spurs and Arsenal (a lot of United too) what with it being an overspill of North London. Good luck to him though.

Teddy is 49 years old ?? jeez time flies

my word though, he doesnt look 49, more like 39

Peter Pan. He's hardly changed a bit over the years.

From that interview he comes across as a complete newbie. He'll succeed or fail based on who he gets around him. Good luck to him.

F.uck yeah. I ducking love this dude. I remember in my youth (stupidly.... Or maybe not) actually having physical fights with arsenal fans over who was better out of him and berkamp..... Shut up teddy was better.

Oh Teddy, Teddy....

Still the only Tottenham player to win the Premier League Golden Boot award, well unless Kane can get 6+ goals on Sunday!

So, why he hates Arsenal ? Surely not because he loves Spurs. If he loved Spurs, he would not have left us to join ManU. It was a huge setback for us when he left. I hate him more than Campbell. For me, he will always be a bigger traitor than Campbell.

That is nonsense.

Players aren't fans. He had an opportunity to play for the best manager, the biggest club and win things.

Then, when he'd done that, he came back to us.

Sublime footballer, Spurs-style personified and I loved watching him play.

He is just another selfish player who looked after his own career. He is in no way a Spurs fan, legend or anything. He does not fit to tie the boot laces of players like Perryman, Mabbut or King who stayed with Spurs for their full career.

He wanted to achieve the highest honours in his profession. Just like anyone who is motivated and driven enough to do so would want to in theirs. Therefore, when he had an opportunity to go and play for the biggest club in the world, with one of the greatest teams in history, he took it and won a Treble.

As he was and is a Spurs fan, he came back to us to enjoy playing for a club he loves. We deemed him surplus to requirements after that and moved him on, no hard feelings.

To compare that in any way to how Judas behaved in the lead-up to his transfer is nonsense.

... oh my GHod, could it, no wait, surely not

are you suggesting Sheringham was merely a skilled professional who took a better job?

the humanity!

where would the world be if people went out there and bettered themselves? cats chasing dogs
