Injured or rested? Dier is no substitute for Ndombele. Liepzig will wipe the floor when this us if Dier starts.

Maybe Mourinho thinks he will be important for the CL games which may be a little less physical whilst he builds up fitness / comfort with the PL?

I think it was a case of Jose thought we needed that strength in front of the back four. Not sure who starts though when we play Leipzig as Winks seems to be playing every game atm.

Hopefully the bespoke training programme will have him able to complete 90 minutes soon...

    Hopefully...

I think it might take another preseason at least.

Imagine Ndombele finding his game consistently alongside Lo Celso...that would be some pairing.

Ndombele is yet another injury prone player on our books.
We will see how he fairs next season

He wasn’t injury prone until our coaching/physio staff got hold of him.

Maybe he did just what ’he’ wanted before at Lyon and now we/the league need more from him and his body/mind is just not up to it?

That would scare the bejeepers out of any team. These two are amazing buys. Our midfield for the next 5-6 years hopefully.

I think that you are too quick to judge. I think that you'll be as wrong about Ndombele and Sessegnon as you were about Lo Celso.

Ndombele is struggling a little to adapt to the league. That is quite common and he has shown enough to prove that he is very talented. My only doubt about him making it with us is that Mourinho doesn't tend to like mercurial talent.

I think he can't get used to the physicality of the league. Better to ship out. Easier to build and stretch muscles than change attitude

Or maybe we’re judging too quickly
