Summer 2018 transfer thread

Leverkusen asked him to stay another season at the start of the window, now it seems that he's good to go to Roma for 40 million Euros. I can't believe we haven't been all over this. This lad and Maddison would have cost £30 million less than Martial and Grealish.
 
I must say, being on the West Coast right now I thought I’d wake up to see some movement - seem to be nowhere closer on Grealish and Chelsea are in for Kovacic.

I’m the most positive and the most trusting of Levy usually but even I’m getting a bit nervous now. Feels like United are really pulling us around RE Toby (unless they’ve underestimated how much we don’t actually mind keeping him for this season) and we’re not close on anyone ourselves.

Most of them are not looking for the type of players we are ( players in the top bracket), but of course you know that just throwing your toys out of the pram because you believe its easy to sign the top players. After all it is in the unreal world of game playing.

We could probably go out and buy a bunch of players better than them quite easily but id imagine we are looking for a higher standard than better than that otherwise we'll be in.the same boat next year - the trick is to buy players good enough to challenge for the first team or at least with the potential to do so

So you don’t think a single player that has moved in the window would improve the squad? Not one?

Who is throwing toys out of the pram?

I find it funny that we can’t complete the signing of a championship player.
