Why would anyone care about this game. its a friendly at this stage.
Its a 3 and a half hour flight one way.
Its a ****ty plastic pitch in sub zero temperatures.

AVB should be spending all week working on the training pitch with the first team squad to get things right not flying off on pointless trips to the Arctic.
 
The pitch may be plastic, but it ain't ****ty. The forecast says windy, wet and temperatures just above zero.
 
Start with Soldado up front so that he has the chance to fill his boots and hope that he can carry that goal scoring form into the league. After he gets his hat-trick he can come off to a standing ovation and let Ade have the chance to do the same.

What does it matter when no one ever creates chances for them in real games. Soldado could be in the form of his life right now for all we know.

Soldado had one long range shot yesterday which he scuffed harmlessly wide, perhaps if he had netted a few recently and was feeling confident he'd instead have skinned the defender before slotting home like Negredo and that goal would have put us back on level terms at 1-1...

There were 5 City defenders between him and the goal. He hadnt a chance of skinning the defender after the run he made. He should have squared it to Holtby or played in Paulinho but thats not his game he's a poacher.

So you're trying to tell me that we spent £26m on a Spanish international who can only score tap-ins but City got one who can win headers and score from outside the area who is the same age for £20m :-k

Soldado can also score ridiculous volleys ala van basten. Yes City had the pick of the strikers when they went shopping in Spain and choose Negredo.

Can add Alvaro Morata as well to that list, as he's been selected and Soldado not since joining us.
Think Soldado's Spain career is more or less over to be honest, squad player most of his career and now getting on.
Negredo has stepped ahead of him, while Costa and Morata are young. Knowing Spain there'll also be many new faces coming through.
