Ok, GREAT win at Old Trafford on Monday; one could say historic - both for Poch and Jose...

Now for some real GRIT to go with some of the flair and patience we showed in that second half at OT.

Imagine going into the international break TOP OF THE LEAGUE?

Im sure it's been noticed before when we have ACTUALLY had chances before under Poch to go top, even if just for a few hours,we have fluffed our lines aka "bottled it".

Can Poch break two ducks in a week??

Will depend on our midfield; this is where we might be able to really analyse our lack of signings in CM.

We haven't hit top gear yet - and we need to wake up to snuff out opposition attacks much better than we are doing at present imo - but i do like the kind of bloody-minded resistance we seem t have at present.

I just hope this "resistance" isn't actually a case of us not being very good and are just scraping by and papering over some cracks.

I think tomorrow will tell us a lot; probably more than the game on Monday given the circumstances.

I'm going for us to nick it 1-0 with a late Dele Alli goal.

Fulham formation please. Best three at the back, no Dembele until tea-time, whichever wing-backs Poch fancies, attackers pick themselves. Should be fine.

Our next tough game, they are doing well, got a bit of momentum too. Time to get another hard fought W

From a purely objective viewpoint can you imagine Watford winning 5 successive games (3 PL games plus league cup in midweek). By law of averages they will have to stop winning regardless of who they’re playing although they will undoubtedly have built up some momentum.

Hoping Trippier plays as he has become our Watford specialist over the years.

I suspect we might go back to a 3 at the back and have more bodies in midfield; Watford will try and rough us up and i think having the strength of Alderwiereld AND Sanchez could be crucial.
A shame Wanyama is missing for this tbh, but Dier's physical attributes will also be crucial.
However, if Poch did start that team it would be very interesting to see how we'd get on

Thigh injury / upscale 12-step recovery retreat / held pending further criminal investigations / sordid spiral of despair and absinthe abuse, depending on how much you want to believe the official story.

This is the sort of game that will dictate how we will this season. Won our first 3 and getting off to a good start but all of our hard work at OT could be undone by a slip up here. They have had a pretty easy run of games so far.

Very much this; wont be easy either..they will put up quite a physical fight imo...shame Wanyama isn't fit and up to speed for this tbh

TEAM NEWS
Watford boss Javi Gracia will restore his first choice XI after changing his entire team for the Carabao Cup win over Reading in midweek.

Defender Miguel Britos, midfielder Tom Cleverley and forward Gerard Deulofeu all remain unavailable.

Tottenham are without Hugo Lloris due to a thigh injury and Moussa Sissoko with a hamstring problem.

Son Heung-min is absent on international duty while Erik Lamela faces a late fitness test.

Watford plays with a million central midfielders and two center forwards. Think Poch will opt to put plenty of muscle in the middle of the park and look for our fullbacks to get behind their super average fullbacks. Harsh on Lucas, but I'd think he'd go 3AB.

-------Alder------DVS------JVT
Trippier----Dier---Dembele---Rose
----Dele-----Kane------Eriksen

If he goes with a four, then Lucas comes in for Sanchez.

---------Vorm---------
KT---Ald---Vert-----Davies
----------Dier----
Dembele----Eriksen-----
---------Dele------
---Lucas---Kane

We should win either way.

Let's not turn it into a fight, they will enjoy that. Let's just show our skill and class and run rings round them.

We need to get them comfortable and then pull their pants down when they least expect it, suck them right in and then burst deep into their box yadda yadda
