Defensive work was good, 2nd half once we got Lo Celso and Lamela in an improvement

Pool will be relieved to get out of that without paying the price for the opportunities they gave up.

We'd have won this comfortably if there was actually someone refereeing the game!

Fine margins. But we played well, had chances to level it and take the lead.

@milo Moura and Sanchez our mom.

Dang, if we could only have taken one chance. At least we kept it down to one, but now we push on.

Ref doesn't want to ruin the Liverpool fairy tale. He was awful.

@milo Tanganga for MoM. Excellent performance, topped by nutmegging Salad with a deft touch.

It’s a shame Eriksen started the game, he needs his name changing on here to something less flattering. Sick of him
If only we’d them 2 big chances away!

We look OK when we play football with players who actually want to play on the pitch.

That’s the most invested in the team I’ve felt for ages by the end of the match. No Eriksen, no Rose, no contract-running-out Vertonghen. Tanganga, Lo Celso. Everyone seemingly wanting to be on that pitch, in that shirt, giving 400% and believing they could match the opposition. More of these players please.

Other than the finishing we did as well as could be expected in the 2nd half.

Unlucky not to score and unlucky the ref seemed to let them get away with everything.

11 players that can run, aren’t afraid of getting kicked and like having the ball.

    Refreshing.

Much much better than I expected from us. Much much worse than I expected from the referee.

I also thought Winks was superb second half. Seemed to be much more brave and progressive on the ball. Wonder if Jose had a word with him about that at half time?
